BARC meeting November 2019

Called to order 7:04 PM.

9 members present (including our new member Dave R.-please welcome him).

Treasurer's report was read and accepted.

OLD BUSINESS:

We had scheduled a fun fly for Saturday the 23rd, it was ultimately cancelled due to weather and possible low attendance.

No Christmas party this year but we did decide to have a New Years day breakfast at Rutilio's in Los Lunas at 8 am. (Tim did stop by and asked it they would be open and the manager said yes they would be open).

All officers were re-elected for the coming year, the VP office ran with no opposition.

Len is going to get two more replacement table tops.

We voted to give Dave R. the rest of this year free on his club dues.

Note: No December meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

Len brought up the fact that the secretary published the club's money situtation. It was an accident and will not happen again. Perhaps the club president can ammend the website.

The subject of new members was brought up and how do we attract new members. Perhaps we can brainstorm this at future meeting.

John A. offered to help with the club website. Maybe The president can get together with him and work out the details.

October BARC meeting minutes

BARC meeting 10/15/19
Meeting called to order at 1905

7 members present.
Motion Dave, 2nd Len, passed 
Treasurers report from Dave, no change in the last 2 months.
Current balance is $4391.5 not for \publication.

Old business:Len replaced a table top and submitted a receipt for reimbursement.
Discussing to replace any more table tops and decided no for now.
Friday evening flying at the gym is continuing but at 7PM until February due to volleyball and basketball practice.
No trespassing signs seem to be working.
Len put some slightly used motor oil in the gate lock to lube it.

New business:
Let’s have a fun fly the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 23rd.
Officer elections:  Dave has volunteered to stay as our Treasurer, John Schaaf has volunteered to stay as President,  John Albu has been nominated for Vice President.  The secretary was not  present and nobody was nominated.

Please note we need a quorum at the November meeting to hold elections.

Mike made a motion to donate $50 to the church, withdrawn.
Ralph made a motion to donate $75 to the church, it was seconded by Mike. Motion passed.

Christmas/New Years gathering was brought up.  Last year we just met for breakfast on New Years Day.  We decided to have a fun fly unless the weather is not good, then we will go out for breakfast instead.  Time to be determined later.

John suggested we have a December meeting but it was discussed and withdrawn.

Ralph motioned to end the meeting, Len seconded at 1943.

NOTE:  Tim will remain on as secretary if everyone will take me.  Thanks.

August 2019 meeting minutes

BARC August Meeting 2019

Called to order 7:05 P.M.

12 members were present, no guests.

Treasurer's report, same as last official meeting.

Old business: Fence and tables repairs were decided to be posptoned until the weather cools off.

New business: September fun fly penciled in for Saturday September 21st, 8:30 A.M., Sunday September 22nd as the alternate for bad weather.

Meeting Adjourned at 7:15 P.M.

The remainder of Barry's hobby items were on display and went to several club members.

OLD BUSINESS

had our field day, it was windy/breezy-ate good

NEW BUSINESS

Dale brought over the fence wire in order to do some patch work repair
Some discussion was made on repairing the table tops, shelved for next meeting
Ralph said he would put up some more NO TRESPASSING signs

Meeting minutes from last meeting were accepted.
Treasurer's report was read and accepted.

OLD BUSINESS:
Resolution for our tax issue was not found, further investigation to be had.
Flying at Los Lunas Middle School gym is going well.
Fun fly has been rescheduled for June 1st, 8 a.m. Breakfast.

NEW BUSINESS:
No new club business.
John went to the Kirtland AFB airshow and gave us a recap of the event.
Norm showed of his new guitar, it was very nice.

Called to order at 7:02 PM.

9 members were present with no visitors.

No March meeting minutes.

The March fun fly was a success.

Mike read the treasurer's report and was accepted.

21 members are paid up at this point.

Old business:

Roller has been repaired, use with caution.

Tax status was checked into by John with AMA with little success at this point.

Tax exempt status will require substantial rewrite to our by-laws.

Norm offered to check with his company's accountant to see if they have any insight into our potential problem with tax status.

New business:

A fun fly has been scheduled for May 25th, details to be filled in at the May meeting.

This Friday the 19th is our indoor flying event at the Los Lunas Middle School Gym.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:27 PM.

BARC meeting minutes Feb 2019


BARC meeting February 2019

Called to order 19:00
10 members present, no guests
Last month's minutes were accepted (Dave/Norm)
Treasurer's report was read and accepted (Ralph/Len)
Two checks were made out tonight to pay for the club's AMA documents/dues
OLD BUSINESS:
Indoor flying has resumed and the first get together was a success.
Set for the first and third Fridays of the month from 6 to 10 P.M.
$1.00 landing fee for non club members.
AMA membership is required for all flyers

Saturday March 23rd we have a fun fly scheduled. Breakfast/brunch style. Time will be determined at the next club meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:
The roller yoke has presumably been stolen from our flying site. John discussed designing a new one that is multi-piece that does not have to be left at the field.

John has updated the club by-laws on our website.

John has gone through the file box and weeded out the excess paper and files.

John brought up the club's tax status. He made mention of several forms that the club needs to file for tax exempt status. Dave C. offered to check with his attorney/former employer to see about further info.

Meeting was called at 19:52.

Officers stayed after to finish the club AMA packet.
